lol, i know. its glowing, so you can see it through her hair, and i didnt want to cover it because it looked realy cool, so i made the hair semi transparent so you could see it throuh....

Well, you could always stretch the bottom half of the body and make her legs longer...
That way you dont have to mess with the torso anymore
Or you could just take the hips in and up a bit...seems like her hips dropped.
Other than that, I can't think of anything else, unless you want to start all over again...yeah...there's always that LOL

your colours are AMAZING. I barely know ANY guys that can coordinate colours well. T_T my goodness. You should see them in my Infotech Honors class. One guy has a bright blue background with yellow text, another manipulating his image to be pink with a bright yellow foreground. Maah goodness, it's like...hell in there O_O

And now, it's great to see that all hope is not lost. XD I absolutely ADORE how you've portrayed Shouko here. Her anxious face; her hopes, and her fears---all that comes with being a leader of a huge nation.

So, this is absolutely AWESOME.
I'll give you some tips though. For one, it'd be best to shorten the torso (the middle half of the body, neck to hips) and lengthen the legs. Hmmm...for tutorials...

oh, and an idea for fixing the torso. =\ might be iffy though. (so save another copy).

Why not merge the layers that are for shouko, and keep the background as a seperate layer? Then, using the transform or selection tool, move the hips higher and somehow paint in the gaps and what not. it could take a good 30 minutes, but it's definitely possible. ^ ^

First of all, let me say, the background is awesome.

Yeah, I wanted to really help you, but the fact that you DID use so many layers is pretty overwhelming.. it'd be pretty tough shortening her torso (just above the hips) except she's got an arm there too, so that could get changed.. which would in turn alter the staff's position too x.x see..

However, it IS colored very well, you color way better than I do.. I'd like to know what you do differently in photoshop .

And you're definitely improving your stuff at an alarming rate Good work! And good luck with the contest.

Well, make the curve of the hips not so pronounced, hence, make them smaller, take off a bit from the sides, and make the peak of the hips a bit higher.

What is "this" that you are referring to? The contest piece?
I know that they were saying in the Hot topics that there were some problems
With things showing up in the right galleries or on the pages or something
Maybe that's why?
I know they also said there were problems with the DevID also and the Featured Deviation sections. Keep trying, if that doesnt work, then...submit it again or something
